Road routes
Paved loops, climbs and quiet roads for road bikes and endurance rides.
BikeAtlas describes routes with the same key fields, so you can compare rides honestly.
Only routes with verified distance, elevation, surface and GPX data appear here.
A few practical things to check before a road ride.
Pick a distance you can finish with energy to spare. Distance plus elevation usually tells you more than distance alone.
Check gradient and length of the main climbs. A short steep wall and a long steady ascent are very different efforts.
Open paved roads often mean exposed sections. A short ride into the wind can feel longer than a long ride with it.
Prefer routes with quiet roads or verified low traffic sections, especially for endurance days and group rides.
Each verified route has a consistent layout so you know what to expect.
Maps, elevation profiles and GPX downloads only render when the underlying data has been verified.
